A Penitential Earth 1

Poem / Trans. Lee Jong Woo

At dawn in the forest with fog
Till in the cloud at sunset, and till in the dream
Alive the Face is !

Uncountable times
When it was so bright, it was dark
And being my joy it was not the real pleasure
And maybe though my words are bright here

All is vanities
Now I see,

And that wanders, vulgar, desires, and falsities
This mundane world is vanity and vanity
Erase the last days
And in breast full with the penitential tears

And the face is the appearance of God I confidently confess
Into the Face I want to put the remained life, Ah
In everywhere that sounds is putted.

A Penitential Earth 3

Poem / Trans. Lee Jong Woo

To live longer like this
It must be the confess
Day by day to be breathless,
But I fall in the deep sleep.

Up to the day not to breathe
As to live so is the penitential.

A Penitential Earth 5

Poem / Trans. Lee Jong Woo

As you went away, remained the tomb in my breast
But because of you
I awake slightly to the large world.

The cosmos erectly is in bloom
Swing the fluttered yesterday
Beat out of the dust booming all over the body

A man the all of me know
Come and flow by the tears of confess

Ah, fall my knees
I unbind the lump of sorrow and the mesh bag of dirts.

A Penitential Earth 10

Poem / Trans. Lee Jong Woo

Who do make the shame under the Heaven
And make to the grasses the shame.

Ah, the youth and hope is gone
Now lap by the disgrace

In the mid of the ocean of tears
Put all over the body

In the ocean of tears
When it is the fog-rain

I'll stand up
I'll in no shame days stand up.
